Honestly one of my favorite spots on the island I spent some time there in the Summer and I came back in Fall You live right at the beachfront. The view you have from your suite window is just awesome. One evening I was looking out that window and saw an orca swimming in the distance!! The wildlife you see there is pretty awesome They even had local Eagles, when I was there in the summertime, this guy who worked there, and called himself the eagle guy, he would just whistle and the Eagles would show up it was pretty cool! Feeding them some leftover chicken sometimes really awesome! One day I even saw an Golden Eagle, you have tons of Turkey vultures flying around, I saw an otter Almost every day. You see seals in the water sealion and deer! And trust me I'm not making that up Haha The location Of this beachfront Resort is pretty nice because you can reach several Nice spots from there! It's as I said one of my favorite spots on the island. You can just chill there, have a barbecue, relax in the hammock or even take a kayak out on the water or paddle board. One of my favorite highlights there Is you can use the hot tub right in front of the Ocean!! The owner, the lady who runs this place is super funny and I really got along with her well she had so many great recommendations for me what I could do on the island and it was always super fun and interesting to talk to her! Coming to an end here and summing it up I had a great time there I can only recommend it to anyone! Kari Hackett2023-11-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The location and views are outstanding. The room however was very small for the price especially. You can't pick oysters and clams as advertised. Donna Pearl2023-10-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hidden gem. I was so pleasantly surprised at this wonderful little resort. We wanted to get away for a quick romantic weekend and that is exactly what this wonderful resort afforded us. The hot tub was wonderful after returning from a romantic dinner. The suite was very tastefully decorated. It looked like it had just been re modelled as it was very modern and tasteful. The fireplace was heavenly to curl up in front of. My favourite part, though, was coffee on the beach, watching the seals play in the Eagles fly up above. I can’t say enough about the view. The manager was quite a character and she made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Thank you Carolyn. We will definitely be back. I visited Comox to spend Thanksgiving with my family, and this resort, located in bowser BC, turned out to be the highlight of our trip up the island. Returning from the wonderful yet chaotic family gathering to the peaceful ambiance of this tranquil resort was truly amazing. The cottage we stayed in was incredibly cozy; sitting by the fireplace and gazing at the ocean provided a perfect ending to our Thanksgiving celebration. I am eagerly looking forward to my next trip up the island so that I can stay at this resort again. The owner is exceptionally friendly and pleasant to talk to. One of the rare experiences I had was enjoying my morning coffee on the beach while observing the wildlife. It's not something I encounter often, and it left me feeling completely rejuvenated and reenergized. I am seriously contemplating renting out their beach house for Christmas with my family; that's how much I loved my stay here. Will be recommending to everyone of my friends and family from the mainland looking to get away for a little island escape :) Zoey Jones2023-10-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We stayed here for our honeymoon and I just have to say we couldn't have picked a better place! The view along the ocean is absolutely stunning. The location is nice and private, tranquil, and away from the husle and bustle of the island's towns. Our room was perfect, the king bed was super comfy, the kitchen was the perfect size for a couple, and the jacuzzi was the perfect touch for a romantic getaway. The English couple who were staying here and helping the owner were super friendly and accommodating. They helped us set up the hot tub after we booked our hour, and we wanted to have a fire so they took the liberty to set us up a rock pit while we were in the hot tub and it was ready for us when we got out.... and it was in the shape of a heart!! So sweet. Overall we are really happy with our stay, we even decided to extend our stay an extra night! Would definitely come back to this beautiful resort! Great location with amazing scenery, and not too busy. Accommodations themselves were nice as well. This is where the review turns... Within minutes of arriving, we could sense something was a little "off". First of all, there are what I'll call "post it notes" EVERYWHERE. "Do not touch this, do not use this this way, do not lean on fridge, you must be 16 to use the hot tub" etc... I get it, ownership wants to ensure things don't get wrecked, but it was excessive to the point of hilarity. Upon check in, she (the owner) read us the riot act, including the rule that anyone going into the hot tub must take a full shower with soap before entering. If you do not, and if the hot tub needs cleaning or servicing at the end, we would be charged for it. We thought this was a little weird and excessive, but sure, whatever. Fast forward a few hours, my youngest child decides he wants to go in the hot tub. He showered. As he goes to climb in, I hear whistling from next door along with "HEY, EXCUSE ME!" It was the owner, spying on us from her little rooftop patio that awkwardly looks over the rest of the resort, to tell me that he did not shower before entering the hot tub. A - he did shower. B - even if he didn't, it is incredibly inappropriate to spy on us and whistle like that. Let alone on night one. This is when we knew what we were in for. Another random weird rule - there's a barbecue we had exclusive access to in the larger cabin our family rented...but you're not allowed to bbq directly on the grill. You must use the bbq mat she provided. Another random weird rule - as mentioned, kids must be 16 years old to go into the hot tub without supervision. This means my 6'0, 170lb 15 year old could not go in the 3-foot deep hot tub by himself. (We had our own hot tub with our larger cabin). Want to use the community hot tub? Sure no problem...you just need to book it for an hour, and you must prove to the owner or staff that you have showered first. Yes, you read that correctly. THE WORST PART***: My Mum, who organized and booked this trip for our entire family paid the damage deposit of a few thousand. (We had 15 people total...the large cabin + one unit on the other side). Unsurprisingly, the owner withheld $1,044.50 of it for the reason: "Extra people and damage." There were ZERO extra people, and we did ZERO damage. First couple emails and calls went without response, of course. Finally, we give her 24 hours to respond, after a few days. We ask for evidence of the damage. Eventually, she responded. She said "The kids counted your guests on the waivers and added the extra person charges not knowing you had two accommodations...." - We are quite confident this is a lie. Seeing and knowing how much of a control freak she is, there is NO WAY she would let "the kids" handle this part of her business, including accounts receivable/payable. - She kept $50 in the end for damages to one of the cabinets...which by the way we took a picture of early in our trip because it was pre-existing. At this point, it wasn't worth the battle. Take a look at her responses to other poor (recent) reviews. You'll get a good idea of who she is and how she conducts "business". If you want a place where you'll feel like you're under a magnifying glass and have to fight tooth and nail for your damage deposit to be returned, with a bagillion rules at the resort, then this is the place for you!! I look forward to her response to this, where she'll likely call this a lie. We have documentation and emails to prove it all. Ashley Smirl2023-07-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This looked like the ideal beach cabin in qualicum, but beware. The beach is full of rocks. The common area is small and the hot tub is only accessible for 16+, and I brought my children. We were not able to get the deposit back and it was nothing like what was expected. Even the response from the host says it all, rude. This place was run down and she was far from welcoming. She didn't respond with any helpful suggestions when we said it wasn't what we expected. I'm sure some people would swim here, I wasn't looking to look for clams, I wanted a beach that was easily accessible for my mom and children. As for the hot tub, it had a sign that read 16+ and looked disgusting. We found a much better place, that was welcoming with excellent customer service and was 600 cheaper!
i booked before i read the reviews. one was something like this “we arrived 1/2 hour early and were greeted by the landlady in her houserobe (it was 1430 hrs), cuppa in hand and cigarette dangling from her lips. ‘you’re EARLY’ she crabbed…” on my arrival i mentioned this and the next morning treated me to the same! Thank you Carolyn, you made my solo vacation the best ever! (meaning-big laughs every day including from Mr. H.! yes, i am STILL surgically attached to my laptop!) Too bad i don’t care to pick & shuck oysters much less eat them. lots to go around. all of the other guests were relaxed and friendly so i think that says a lot for the ambiance of this nice little resort. i loved the potting shed with the wild roses growing on the roof!, not a hot tub fan but very glad for the BBQ! beach fires, ice cream cones available nearby, not too far for groceries and most important, a store which sells wine (& other non-hard liquor) just down the road. and yay! THE EAGLES! hence no yappy lapdogs! double yay!
summer sky Beautiful setting, scenery, sea life & hostess! My family and my sister’s family stayed in two of the beach houses at Qualicum Breeze. They were clean, comfortable and had everything you needed to feel at home (bedding, little stove top, dishes). We were on a mission to relax in front of the ocean and watch our kids play. This is exactly what we did. The kids loved the tidal pools when the tide was out and loved swimming and kyaking when the tide was in. If you wanted to go anywhere, there were lots of options and Carolyn was a gracious host informing us of all of them. We went on a hike in the “wacky forest” one day and found a loving running trail 5 minutes away from the site. The scenery was amazing- beautiful sunsets and sunrises, eagles, seals playing in ocean, starfish, crabs, oysters. Carolyn was an amazing host and provided the kids with games to play (cards and monopoly) as well as marshmallow sticks. It was an unforgettable adventure that truly was a piece of heaven. Thanks for everything.
Jenn A little piece of heaven…Gorgeous location! Cottage was extremely clean and well kept. We swam right at the beach in front of our cottage and my son was even joined by a seal one evening! We enjoyed watching the Alaskan cruise ships sail by as we relaxed in the ocean front garden. We loved the hot tub which overlooked the ocean and the hammock chairs!
Brenda breathtaking scenery and wonderful cottageI stayed for 2 nights in one of the cottages on the beach. What an amazing experience right on the water waking up to the sounds of wildlife. We had a nice sized deck where we could relax and and enjoy the view. The location was great had dinner both nights at the Fanny Bay Pub down the road excellent seafood. The owner was fun , hospitable and available whenever we needed I would definitely return to this resort
Pauline Fabulous thank youWe stayed at Qualicum Breeze for 3 nights in March and were not disappointed. The suite was very clean, with lots of room, and the fireplace was wonderful! We enjoyed walks on the beach, relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the ocean, a barbecue dinner around the fire on the beach, and sitting on the grass area watching the birds and seals. Our friends came to stay for one night and they loved it as well! Carlee was very friendly and helpful. We’re hoping to come back some day to stay in the log house she gave us a tour of!
Jo Awesome stay!Great views Lovely setting Warm comfortable Excellent hosts Will be back
Chef WowWe had a wonderful 3 nights at this quite beach front resort! We enjoyed the hot tub every night with the beautiful ocean in the back ground. We got oysters from one of the locations Carolyn told us about and our friend even found a pearl! We visited Cathedral Grove which is only about 30 minutes from this place. The cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Great start to our holiday!

Cecilia O. Wonderful stay.Qualicum Breeze is an escape to a tranquil and beautiful Beach resort. The scenery is absolutely stunning. The sound of the water on the rocky beach and the view of the mountains on a clear day are breathtaking! Waking up to the sunrise and the smells of the Ocean was great! Accommodations were perfect and we had everything we needed to have a great time! An Excellent place to relax and enjoy a hidden Gem of Vancouver Island. Coming all the way from Montreal this was surely a treat for me! I would recommend the resort to anyone who is looking for an escape. The owner of the Resort was amazing and very welcoming with a great sense of humour, which made my first time visit to Vancouver even that more special. It would not have the character and special charm without her there! I will defiantly be back again… 🙂

Drive a few extra minutes north of Qualicum and Parksville while still enjoying all the attractions in this area… save a little money, and save many steps to the ocean.
One of our seven delightfully charming Oceanfront suites will surely satisfy couples and families alike. Relax on your patio and observe the eagles soaring above while listening to the sounds of the waves. Cozy up around a beachfront camp fire or slip into the hut tub and experience the star lit nights as the cruise ships pass on their way to Alaska.
For the romantics we offer a memorable experience in our Luxurious honeymoon suite complete with fireplace, jetted tub and king size bed. All or our suites have fully equipped kitchenettes, some with fireplaces. We offer complimentary tea and coffee, cable T.V. and free hi-speed internet access.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Qualicum Breeze, a lovely tranquil setting. Also, enjoyable was the very personable and welcoming hostess who made us feel at home. Deep Bay Marina had excellent fish & chips, and the ice-cream shop in Bowser had 32 flavours to choose from. What more could you ask for!
